What about vista ? If you refer to installing Flash components, it works exactly the same way: use Adobe Extension Manager.

If you are talking about the FlashEff installation problem, it should be solved the same way as on Windows XP but using the Vista specific paths (I'm on a Mac so right now I don't know the installation paths for Vista).

Hey, I'm happy you managed to solve the problem. Actually that is the way to solve it. On JumpeyeComponents.com knowledge base we have an article that explains the issue and how to solve it - copy the files from the English config folder to the French one: http://www.jumpeyecomponents.com/knowledgebase/%2A-Flash-%7E-general-use-problems/After-installation-components-do-not-show-up-in-Components-panel~1051/.

Another solution would be to start the Extension Manager directly from Flash (Help > Manage extensions) and install the components like that. One of our clients suggested that but at work all our software is in English so we couldn't really test it. But it could still work.

@Ana

If you are using a different language version of Adobe Flash CS3 than English, then it is possible that the components are installed correctly, but they do not show up in the Components panel. This is a bug in the Adobe Extension Manager.

For example, if you have a French version of Flash CS3, the Extension Manager would not detect it correctly and it would install the components in the English configuration folder (User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS3/en/Configuration - for Mac OS and C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS3\en\Configuration\ - for Windows). In this case, all you have to do is copy the components to the French folder (User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS3/fr/Configuration - for Mac OS and C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS3\fr\Configuration\ - for Windows) - or whatever language your Flash CS3 copy has.
